  1.                              Liver Cancer
  2. SYMPTOMS. Watch for a mass in the upper right quarter of the abdomen, weight
  3. loss, abdominal pain and possibly a later sign of jaundice (skin yellowing).
  4. CAUSES are unknown at this time. It is rare that the cancer originates in
  5. the liver in the United States. It is common for it to originate in the liver
  6. in the Orient and Africa. About half of the liver cancer cases in the United
  7. States are associated with cirrhosis of the liver. Cancer may spread to the
  8. liver from elsewhere in the body such as pancreas or breast.
